With the new building at Katharinengasse 12, the Hotel Maximilian’s has been expanded to include an exclusive new building.. The old building has been removed to make room for a modern extension. Planned by Fußner Kühne Architekten and implemented by Geiger Schlüsselfertigbau Augsburg, the building blends harmoniously into its surroundings. A special link to the past was created when the foundation stone was laid: A time capsule containing memorabilia and a letter to posterity was embedded in the foundation.
Seven new suites add even more luxury to Hotel Maximilian's. Two suites on the first and second floors offer an exclusive view of the Schaezlerpalais, while five duplex suites on the third floor create a feeling of spacious living. Two of the suites are equipped with a private sauna. The design offers an elegant, modern atmosphere that is deliberately different from the previous interior.
The rooftop pool it is the absolute highlight of the new building. Reserved exclusively for hotel guests, it offers a breathtaking panoramic view over the rooftops of Augsburg. With stylish sunbathing areas and a private atmosphere, this area is the perfect retreat. Whether a refreshing dip or relaxed sunbathing - the pool creates a unique experience in the middle of the city.
To further enhance guests’ comfort, the hotel’s own car park was also extended at the same time as the new building was constructed. Additional parking spaces and a modern infrastructure will make arriving at the hotel even more convenient. Located directly next to the hotel, the parking garage offers convenient access to all the hotel's amenities and contributes to sustainable urban development.
