Why is sustainability important to us?

We see sustainability not as a duty, but as a responsibility. It's our mission to reduce our ecological footprint without compromising on comfort and quality.
 
We actively reduce our energy consumption, avoid plastic, rely on regional suppliers and support social projects. In this way, we combine sustainable action with a first-class hotel experience.

Our commitment to the community

As part of the Augsburg community, we actively support social projects. Every year, we support fundraising campaigns and are committed to local institutions such as the Frére-Roger Children's Center and the Förderverein Wärmestube SKM Augsburg e.V.

 

We want to support disadvantaged people and provide concrete help where it is needed.

Ecological action

We are actively reducing our CO₂ footprint - through water-saving technologies, waste avoidance and energy-efficient solutions. The aim: climate-friendly hotel operations with the lowest possible emissions.

In 2023, we worked with myclimate to determine our CO₂ emissions for the first time: 1,128.94 tonnes of CO₂e - according to the GHG Protocol. All relevant areas were recorded: Energy, mobility, materials, services.

This carbon footprint is the first step towards making sustainability measurable in the hotel - and systematically reducing emissions.

Our sourcing practices

We select our suppliers based on regionality, short transportation routes and sustainable production standards.

 

We increasingly rely on reusable packaging, avoid single-use plastic and pay attention to fair trade and organically certified products.

Our next steps

We are continuously developing our sustainability strategy and focusing on new solutions.

Further measures to reduce CO₂, the introduction of additional plastic-free alternatives and closer cooperation with local producers are planned.
